Heath, i hope you the best on your trip, I think the guest house you are staying at has a lot of experiance with KC patients, as they have had so many staying with them!
The only thing i can add that comes to mind is that you should take with you a good pair of sun glasses (wrap arounds are good to keep the light away from your eyes, but its a bit of a fashion statement!).
Also, I think Valeri very much liked using Systane lubercating eye drops (which is pretty much available at any good drug store), after his epithelium grew back, just to keep the eyes from feeling dry and feel nice. Please do ask the Dr's when you arrive in Dresden about this and anything else they recommend for your stay and recovery.
Please tell us all about it when you can... I hope you reap the rewards that you deserve! ...have a pleasant trip and don't forget to write!
I strongly support you for your operation. But do not worry, it's a small operation !
However, you must absolutely put antobiotics drops in your eye after the operation ! The only risk of C3R is infection. It's required to use drops to avoid it. So do not forget !
Yea Heath! Buy a lot of "still wasser" - plain water, without bubblles! Wash your hands and use the antibiotic and ointment eye drops! And write us about how it goes on!!!! Good luck!!! Yarsky
