A warm welcome to you Mioara!

Someone i knew had Freerara Rings about two/three years ago... he is very happy about he had it done...

Ferrara Rings are specially designed for Keratoconus unlike Intacs... Ferrara Ring's corrects more than Intacs...

The flattering effect of the rings will reach its full potential in the months to come... you may well just need glasses or regular soft lenses.

Please write and tell us everything when you can!

Thanks for posting from Romaina!

hello again! first of all it's a pleasure to talk with people that really understand how kc affect our lives...like i posted before i admitt that for the moment im happy with the FR implanted and for example today i was in local bus and i was looking at people faces and i realized that before i wasn't able to see that or im using computer with no correction at all. to be onest the imagine it's still foggy but the difference between left and right eyes acuity is't huge. i wanna tell more but im expecting to see my doc again and i have to be patient .i read Roman diary and its very helpfull cause its like im reading mine.the time to take control of kc has come

best wishes,

mioara

Ah yes Roman... he left a very good chronical of his life after his Ferrara Rings.

Its nice to know that Romania are using the best they can to actually treat patients to get back full time vision.

Please write about it all when you have more news, or please write about your thoughts on things... we are interested to know them very much...

Every good wish to you, Mioara

i just wanna tell everybody that two days ago i did my second eye(right one) with ferrara rings . the intervention was paintless beside first eye and everything was more than ok.now the bad news: the night after the procedure was hell on earth. 10 agonizing hours until next morning but after the doc put some drops in the eye everything change and although this paintfull night i would do it again cause the results are astonishing until now.one month after the first intervention and the cornea top. was a lot better than before. i hope that im gonna post those topografies to see the difference.

best wishes,

mioara

Mioara, thanks for your post, you must have thought how you was going to get through the night, well done for doing so, they could have give you drops to take home with you for the pain, I know that i'll stock up with them if in the same situation as you.

Yes, that would be good to see your topos on here, so please get them on here when you can.

What is the name of your Dr and is there a web link for the hospital you went to have the surgery? Its good to know that you have had success in this small amount of time to have some more vision, you are only going to get more in the days to come, I hope it all goes well for each of your follow up visits with your Dr, the best thing is that the hardest part is over now.

Every good wish to you
