X-linking and Intacs, Going to do it
Permalink

Tomorrow I am going to Sydney, Australia where I am having an Intac placed in one of my eyes on Friday. Then in three months I will have that eye x-linked and possibily then have an Intac put in the other eye, then a month or so later have that eye x-linked.

Hi Chris,

Best luck to you, we will be with you in all your endeavours. These day crosslinking is not so misterious and there is already solid evidence that it is worth it. I believe you are doing the right thing.

Cheers,

Valeri

Hi Chris,
I think you got the right option. Intacts can correct your astigmatism. X-linking will fix your corneas. Have strength, hope and patience.
Wish you the very best, mate!

Well I'm back in New Zealand with very much improved vision. I ended up having intacs placed in both eyes. The results were noticable straight away. One of my eyes is quite advanced and I was warned not to expect much in the way of uncorrected vision improvement, however fortuanately there was an improvement. The other eye the results are amazing. Anyway I will write more about it in the coming days, I'm trying to keep off the computer for the next few days.

Great news Chris!!!!!
Take it easy, put your feet up and rest your new sight. Its too easy to say that these sorts of things are life changing... but for anyone who has had KC and then finds a way out like you have... what I'm saying is that you have a great deal to look forward to. Well done!!!

Regards,
Hari
