ghosting/halos/starbursts increasing despite crosslinking

Hey people, iím looking for some information bout my case.

Iíve got diagnosed with KC at the end of 2016. My left eye has been treated with epi-off crosslinking (CXL), right one with epi-on. Itís been 13 months for left eye and 3 months for right eye.

Despite been treated with CXL and confirmation from doctors that topography, pachymetry and corrected vision (wearing glasses) is stable, my aberrations and ghosting are rapidly improving. Doctors arenít saying anything specific (they seem not to know the case) and this became really stressful to me.

Has anyone had to do with similliar case? Changing aberrations and ghosting after CXL? Every piece of information is valuable, thank you!

Usually one eye is effected by KC more than the other (was that the case ? before treatmet)...and what, if any, correction do you wear ?

Yes, my left eye had worse vision and we treated it first. I'm wearing glasses, of course they don't correct ghosting, but the give me great results - 20/20 in left eye and 16/20 in right eye.

Your better eye (before treatment) is in recovery mode...it gets worse before it gets better (however thats for epi off more so...with epi on it should return vision quicker although it might take somemore time than expected)

Your other eye at 20/20 with glasses is good...but its with kc vision...its called 20/20 keratoconus...the eye chart does not do any justice in defining quality of vision.

I hope your good eye comes back round to having vision where with both eyes open...vision is functional enough. All the best and do get a 2nd opinion from another Dr.

†Thanks for your anwser, there's not much of us and really difficult to find someone who cares...

I really want to believe that my eyes just need time, but i want to speak with as much people and doctors as possible. I'm currently posting on every KC forum i could find and I'm trying to make payed, e-mail consultations with doctors abroad (i'm from Poland) :)

Where are you from? Do you know any good doctors from your country? :)

Also, thing that worries me is that aberrations started increasing after CXL and BEFORE CXL in other eye, just like it had nothing to do with the procedure :(
