My son is 22, has autism, and ischeduled for the cross linking at Bochner. I know they give them valium but how effective is it for keeping people in place? Peter said they do children as young as ten but how do they keep them from wiggling around? Help!
I'm not sure about Autism, but other conditions where being non compliant or where the patient had poor hand to eye co-ordination may have been an issue, was treated by putting the patient to sleep totally. I did read a report of where in one patient they plaster-casted his arms so he could not bend his arms to touch his eyes!
Its highly important that fingers or water or anything gets in to the eyes during the recovery (until the epithelium has grown back)
