There is no better or worse. It depends on:

- The experience of the Dr using these two types of rings

- The individual configuration of the cornea to be treated

- Its not easy to predict the final vision that could be obtained, but the idea is that the cornea moves to a better shape so that glasses or contact lenses can be worn more easily. If KC is early, then no glasses or contact lenses may be needed to be worn.

Im asking this because my left eye is already lazy eye by birth. so I have only one functional eye (Right Eye) with savare keratoconus.
most of the studies says that ferrara ring is for advanced keratoconus. but other prefer intacs
so therefore im confused which one to undergo

There is "Intacs SK" for advanced KC...and probably others have been developed in the Intacs range.

Get some consultations with Drs who know on ferrara rings and Intacs. Some do like one over the other depending on the patient case.
