The healing is still going on so the readings in turn reflect this. For example there may well be some haze and the shape of the cornea can be "all over the place" (due to swelling) until after settling down in the first few months and the varying fluctuations has passed by in the months there after.

Steroids are used after CXL to prevent hazing.

Am I misusing the edit button on here?  Ever since I first wrote this post (half drunk!), I've been trying to edit it.  It seems to edit fine, but then it reverts back when I go to the main page.

Talanath its not uncommon for myopia to increase. Its part of the normalization of the corneal surface. My recovery took about 2 months or so following the Athens protocol. That said I was driving in 3-4 weeks. Everybody is different. Fluctuations are common in vision before it settles down.  As Wayne mentions the steroids are for the haze; they do increase intraocular pressure which is checked at the postoperative visit. You are done with the worst part of the recovery. It only gets better from here.
