Who is performing x-linking?

I have the link to the hospital in Dresden, as well as Dr. Boxer Wachler's site.... who else specifically is performing this around the world. I have heard that it is also being performed in Mexico and trials are starting in various other places (Italy, France, UK), but I haven't been able to piece together all of the specifics.

Personally, I'm interested in finding out more about who is performing this procedure in Mexico, but I figured a single thread that lists all the known Drs./hospitals/clinics around the world who perform this procedure would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Hi Chrism and welcome!

Bilingual/multi-lingual members when they have something to write or want to, will i guess write more about this topic, but they are few and far between.

Not forgetting that this treatment is very new out side of Germany.

Usually people can find such info on the net in their own language with a link if they do a search.

Thanks for the link Yarsky... This Dr is in Belgium... Here is the link translated...

http://translate.google.com/translate?sourceid=navclient&hl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Evryghem%2Ecom%2Fvryghemnl%2Fdefault%2Easp%3Fsid%3D2%26lang%3Dfr%26id%3D412%26m1%3D1%2520186%26m2%3D1171%26m3%3D0%26m4%3D0%26linkto%3DCross%2Blinking%2Bpar%2Bles%2BUV

BTW... sometimes the use of a translator does not translate every word properly... so to those who do not understand french, the words "Clerc's Office" means "Corneal Transplant".

Please tell us your thoughts Yarsky...

Hi Quintrix,
what I do not know about the Belgeium connection:
1. The price
2. Official Status (clinical essays or a treatment)
what I do know judging by the link
1. It is offered as a regular treatment of KC and post lasik corneal ectasia by the doctor mentioned
2. It looks like it is performed exactely as in original Dresden method, with epithelium abrasion.
3. However, they are talking about posing a therapeutic lens immediately after the treatment which is removed three days later.
4. In Brussels it is an ambulatory procedure as well: you get it done, you go to a hotel or guest house, you come in the morning.
5. The description of the procedure timing, painful night, recovery, etc. etc. etc. coincides with what experienced and wrote Valeri or myself. Which means that they know what they are talking about.

There has been full ethics approval in the UK for crosslinking from the Ethics Committee of the UK.

So that means patients can now have this treatment...

...it's various stages for different Dr's ... with the london vision clinic being the first to offer crosslinking in the UK, a very high class private clinic based in the heart of london near Harley St. which is famous for medicine through-out the years...

Prof. Dan Reinstein who is one of the world's top corneal experts is the surgeon and MD there.
