Use of Intacs after keratoplasty
Permalink

Hi    irregular astigmatism may develope in corneal grafts long after PK.
I have heard that planting intrastromal corneal rings(Intacs) in such cases is now a method to remodel and regularize grafted corneas. Does anyone has also heard about that or has an experience?
My best regards
Ali

I have heard this vaguly only, but its not often done as its a rare thing to do and so the surgical experience is low, and its a method which may not work also. There could be a possibly of making matters worse. However a bit of laser may be another way to go with CXL (may be a lens implant also)

Its best to seek some consultations to know which may be the best for your situation.
