Hi, i dont really know how the kreadings are measured but on my better eye i have a little mini mini bulge which gives me the ghosting, and it has low kreadings. Even a soft toric lens reduces that ghosting.

On the worst eye i have like 3-4 lights, but when i put on the Rose-k RGP there is just some faint lines of light upwards.

The conditioner i use is called extend all in one, it can be used for RGP soft and both for storing and cleaning, which makes the it easier. I think it is fabricated by a company called Consol.

Still my CXLed eye changes, yesterday i could see some stuff i couldnt see for a month, so it is going back and forwards.

Hi Zenke,

Out of all the interventions to the cornea for KC, CXL is the least one, as its only the Epi which gets removed, which grows back and quickly anyway, and is all the time everywhere in PRK laser, however with all Ops it takes a minimum of six months to settle down with even slight changes up to a year. With a transplant it can take longer and a contact lens could be harder to fit and you can still get progressive astigmatism ! Intacs also takes time, it seems the cornea is just like this.

You are doing well, as should be.

Do you find you feel better you have been treated ?

Hi, yes i feel better, nice to know it wont get worse on that eye, and that i can handle an eye operation if needed. Now its up to the doctor if we shall take the "good" eye. Also the fit of the rgp lens seems better, it does not itch as much as before. I am at 4,5 months now and the optrician said that all signs of the operation was gone and that the cylinder went down from -6 to -4,5 however the vision is not improved according to their tests. But I feel it was worth the pain and the week of from work.

Hi here come some orbscans from CXLed eye, with one month before, ~3 month after and 6.5 months after.

Seems like the astigmastism is slowly decreasing, so far no luch with vision improvements on eyecharts, however my opionen is that, with the lens it is the vision is improved especially at shorter distances. Another good thing is that the RGP lens is greatly increased. The eye doctor was really happy with the results :)

Look at the thickness, the orbscan machnines atleast the ones used in the last two seems to be really far off. ( we didnt some manual measurements with ultrasound that gave well above 400 microns )

Good to hear things are progressing well.
The numbers on my end have shown slight improvement as well. It is a small improvement but I'm glad KC progression is at least halted. I consider myself lucky to have detected this disease early. One eye gets me by..for the other I will keep fighting. smile.gif
My next appointment is in Feb 2010.
