I think K-readings are an old school metric that has even more standard deviation than the only one that really counts: best corrected visual acuity

Very good to see that there's clearly been significant improvement in this important department!

Stan, was your Kc progessing before your treatment ?

Are you checking with the same topography machine (before and after CXL) serially ?

CXL is to reduce progression and halt it is done early enough, your progression may have reduced from what it could have been if it was not done early in KC, and it may be your corneas have changed to a more regular shape thus allowing for a better contact lens fit, if not a glasses fit. It is the case that the earlier the better.

It is wortth noting that the cornea can mobve around but not be professing as such,. but keep it monitored and seek advice from the treating Dr as he will know what is happing and advice you from seeing what the readings show.

Best regards

Vicky

Its like a pillow, if thats the effect going on, moving around

The cornea can still change up and down a little at diferent parts of the cornea but is not progressing however it may still be progression, be it slowed. Your Dr can advice you if you may need another CXL or be monitored, as a few may still require a retreatment if needed. However CXL is to prevent a transplant, so if you do ok in contact lens or need a new type or just need a refit, give that a go. Progression may be the case for those who are more younger than older or if the KC is the aggresive type (which it is more common the more younger you are).

Yes it was progressing......

Yes the same machine is being used.

"It is wortth noting that the cornea can mobve around but not be professing as such,."..........Can you just make me understand this a bit more?

I was quiet happy with the way things went initially but now I m getting a bit tensed...
