Its now  one month post op....and the doc says there is still a fare amount of haze in the left eye...the right eye has less haze as compared. My visual acuity has gone down but as i mentioned earlier ,when i tilt my specs to the right the vision improves and gets sharper and crispier....when i told this thing to the doc he said that there must be a cylinder change in the eyes but he refused to give me new specs numbers for now....

He said that one month  is too early for the topography to be done so he will do the same only after two months from the op date.....

Just waiting thirstily for the left eye's haze to clear.....

Hi Stanz,

Your in the mode where readings will be "all over the place" right now, as your corneas reform with the healing taking place. By six months correction can be tried because the rate of change to your cornea will have slowed down and setteled some what.

Keep your chin up, listen closely to your Dr only he knows through his experiance what the course of events will be with the stages in recovery from the patients he has already treated and from your readings.

Let us know how you get on

Kane

Two months post-op, i will be going for the topography on monday. An observation that i wanted to share was that when i gently touch  the upper surface of my eyes[when i close my eyes] with my fingers , i  feel  the surface has softened  and and the mounting which was there before the treatment has also decreased......still the mounting is more in the left eye as compared to the right.....

Hope to hear from u guyz....

Update : I went to the dr. today for the topography to be done.the reports showed not much of a substantial improvements in the k readings but to my amazement my power in the eyes has reduced to a gr8 extent.I had -6 cyl and -1.25 spherical in the right eye and -6 cyl in the left eye before the treatment which is now -4.50 cyl and no spherical in the right eye and -5 cyl in the left eye.
My visual acuity was 6/9 partial in the right and 6/12 in the left which is now 6/6 partial in the right and 6/9 partial in the left.........

i dnt knw why my k values have not shown any substantial improvements????the doc says they are almost same as they were before the treatment .Are there still things waiting to happen in terms of the k values????

Regards
StAnZ

Stanz

CXL is not refractive surgery or used as such, its used to stablize KC.

It will take another four months to know how your cornea has fully settled to. You should be happy with things so far.

Best wishes
