Hello ang,

When I had crosslinking done it was the bad eye first, recovery was pretty quick and I really didn't notice much haze or any new double vision etc. My good eye was a different story, I experienced haze, ghosting, and tiredness from double vision like you. The tiredness was a big pain! but this was something I had lived with on a daily basis before I had intacs put in, 18 months prior to crosslinking.

All I can say is as annoying as the short term side effects are they do pass.

Hi some status update for you guys that did CXL.

I am 1 year and 2.5 months after X-linking.

Just had a checkup at the local optician, seems like my astigmastism has been reduced by 1/3 since epi off CXL in march 2009. And the best achievable VA has also slightly increased. So be patient and hope for the best.

Cylindrical power went from -6 preop to -4 now and it seems to continue to slowly flatten. Soon i can think about getting some useful VA with glasses on that eye again.

Be patient and hope for the best.

Hi

Reading your posts give me hope :) ... because its reallly very frustrating having blurry vision at day 32 ... many scary thoughts come in mind... like...was the operation unsuccessful ... some thing went wrong...

I had CXL a month ago in my left eye [the good eye with KC/ the bad one needs corneal grafting :( ] after CXL operation vision went blur but since then my vision has improved my near sight is better and i can use PC and read a book now ... but my far sight blurry so i cannot drive...

before cxl i had KC but vision was good without glasses...

Tell me how long does it take generally when one can start driving?

Blur, have you asked your eye Dr who did the treatment ? as they will know from looking in to your eyes, it depends from patient to patient the recovery, and to rule out anything else consultant them is the best thing to do if you are worried for any reason.

I see my doc  every week and he tells me all is well... patience...  this time he said come after two weeks and today i did feel a little difference... i don't know why it is so that recovery is always like this ... a week nothing then one day .. suddenly a little better.. then again two weeks nothing... and then again a little better... lets hope it gets better soon ... God willing ...

My right eye that needs corneal grafting... if i delay tis cornial grafting is it possible to damage my eye beyond repairs? cause i read some lady posted here that her husband was blinded because of KC...??? is that a risk if one does not seek treatment?
