If you can get to visit Dr. Stulting (who was the first to do trails on CXL in the US), he will tell you about Dr BBW's patients who came to see him after the so called "C3R" did not treat the progression of their KC, and why the trails he done in the US (which the data is getting collected for the FDA) was by removing the Epi.

I don't know much about Dr. Wachler but everything I've read about him from patients doesn't paint him in the best light. He certainly has a great publicist though.

My brother was diagnosed with keratoconus in 2001 and had little hope less than two years later. His doctors were telling him that he needed a cornea transplant in his left eye and that he would need one in his right in less than a year.  Devistated by this bleek option, he asked me to do some research to see if there was anything else he could try before the last resort of a transplant. I am glad to say that we found Dr. Boxer Wachler and in 2003 he had C3-R and is still doing great today!

He is looking into Visian ICL and so I'm helping him research. I think he's gonna go back to Dr. Boxer Wachler because he did such a good job with his C3-R.

I can't believe some of things people are saying about Dr. Boxer Wachler. He did an amazing job and we had such a great experience. Going to him was worth every penny. The entire staff was knowledgeable about the procedure and super friendly. We did extensive research before picking Dr. Boxer Wachler and I don't know where you've seen negative things about him, but I can only assume they were few and far between. I seriously cannot say enough good things about him!

Where abouts are you in the the US? do you have to travel far? Has he tried contact lenses to a point at least ? The Dr is well known for being shamelessly self serving....for example on his google sponsered links he says "Cure for Keratoconus" ...YEAH RIGHT....

I have plans of going to Dr. Wachler to get my treatment done and I am so shocked at all the people bashing him/his treatment. Have any of you called the office or talked with them, they are all super nice and willing to do whatever it takes to get you an answer. Maybe he is so "gimmicky" because there are so many people that are talking down about him so he is trying to get his practice out there in the open and prove his way is just as effective. All medical procedures have revolutionized over time, they start out with a method that is ok and then it just keeps getting better and better. Wouldn't you want something that is less invasive and quicker recovery time and still does the same thing? I know I would and that is just what Dr. Wachler has created, I don't understand why people have to be so demeaning to something "new" (and this doesn't just happen with medical). I must say the "Beverly Hill's" stigma/rationale was the best though!? Couldn't you also view it as since he is in Beverly Hill's where the "Stars" are that he would have to be on the top of his game!? I mean these people have tons of money and can go ANYWHERE, yet they chose him... to me that speaks volumes. I am excited to get the treatment done, so I can share my story first hand!
