Hello to you all,

Something new for crosslinking and really important biomechanically because with this the riboflabin can now be targeting at places you want to crosslinked more. This method which i read is called I-CORNEA TAN.Pretty cool name.;p!

So,this is the website i found my leader talking about this.I just love Dr K.I will never forget him.

.New technique

Happy holidays to all,and with the years new amazing scientific treatments will develop or i r know what laser technology will emerge and give to all kcers EAGLE VISION.We deserve it.

Here is my last topography. In my left eye the cone has reduced significantly and in my right has gone smaller and below the periphery. The opposite part of the cornea has treated from the TOPO-PRK.You can see the green colour of the areas. From my left eye i have 7/10 vision and from my right 8/10plus meaning i can read two lines from 10/10.My vision is unaided meaning without glasses or contacts.I think that is a huge success.

The crosslinking with the limited topography PRK combined together are a straight hit to the stupid Kc.Just giving normal shape to the cornea and then freezing the shape you have gave with the collagen crosslinking. The disease has stop and your cornea has become smoother and close to normal.

Also,i am posting a greek newspaper which i have from the institute showing the global innovative treatment of keratoconus.Watch out carefully the pre topography before the treatment and the following postoperative when the Topography guided PRK and crosslinking has been perfomed together. The cone has reduced a lot.If you are able try to translate it because it says some fascinating things on kc but unfortunately is in Greek.

All the best,

I actually recieved that greek newspaper article in the mail from Dr. Kanellopoulos's office. I have no idea what it says though because it is in greek. I'd love to know what is does say. can you tell us?

Also can you do a higher quality scan of your topography and post it. I'd like to read the numbers, they are hard to read at the moment in the scan you posted. I will be getting another topography of my eyes in a few weeks.

Hello Mark,

I have to my right eye Km:40.9, pachymetry pupil center 414microns and thinnest location 378microns.

In my left eye i have Km:40.7, pachymetry pupil center 418 microns and thinnest location 394microns.

The pachymetry readings are stable all this time i have maken out topographies.Nothing has change to corneal thickness. Also, the Kreadings of the curvature at the cornea have decreased through time.

About the newspaper it says that the treatment(collagen crosslinking-limited topography guided PRK) has been awarded for its success in Europe and United States. Also,it refers to kc and how does it impacts the cornea and how with the Topo-PRK the cornea can be normal again and then with the crosslinking to freeze the disease and the shape you have gave.

Anyhow,Mark tell us how you see. What is your visual acquity? What is your QUALITY of vision?Especially at daytime. Is it different before the treatment?I d love to hear from you since we have performed the same treatment and can discuss more to equal level.

I think that and if someone look at the topography of the newspaper the cones of Kc are significantly smaller after the treatment.Generally, this treatment is considered unique for its success and innovation.

All the best,

What is scale are you using to measure your eyes?
What is a 7/10 and a 8/10?

These are the two scales I am familiar with:

Metric
6/3
6/4.5
6/6
6/7.5
6/9
6/12
6/15
6/30
6/60

Snellen
20/10
20/15
20/20
20/25
20/30
20/40
20/50
20/100
20/200

For example if you have 10/10 to snellen is 20/20.

So with 8/10 i am to snellen 20/25 with right eye.

With my left 7/10 and 20/30 i suppose.

Now with both eyes open giving me the best picture i have 20/20 vision.Note that i dont wear anything to my eyes. Also, someone should count and quality of vision which is very important because with the cones you lose the clearness and liveness of your vision.Thats a reason also to reshape the cornea.

How is your vision? Please write a little more when you answer.

All the best,

Hello people,

Cloudd my friend you should post more often to the forum.Have you gone for your follow up topography? How is it?Inform us more about your vision acquity and how you see after topography guided PRK and Crosslinking.

I think people are tired and bored to hear all the time my experience. You have done the same treatment as me and i feel like you should talk more often.People should know about this treatment and how we are seeing after it.I consider it the best there is for kc as we speak.Tell us your opinion and experience.

Also,if you are planning to come again here in Greece, i would be happy to meet you.

All the best,
