Simon, due to spammers and time waisters you know how it is, time is also valuable when actually in practice. Its a common problem unless they are in to marketing through email, and marketing don't really happen over here in europe as they are more interested in doing their primary job and also its frowned upon whenn in fact they have patients to attend to.

What's the problem anyway? Can't your Dr help you?

How's it going with your recovery?

Hey,

Recovery from the PTK is going well.  I have much more tear flow, and vision is getting better and better.  20/20 almost in the day time at certain times.

THe problems is the progression in the other eye.  The double images are getting a little worse. I thought I would get the Cross Linking done and if it's alright, get it done on both eyes.

I have been reading that Dr. Markus Kohlaas is one of the best.  I have contacted Dresden, Greece, Beverly hills and all of them are either too expensive, not responsive in time or just not equipped with the standards that I would like to meet.

I would reallly like to fly out to see Dr. Kohlaas.  A phone number would be great.

Thank you Quintrix,

Simon, thats a great choice you made there! ...you are going to see humanitarians who has done all the work and have the facts scientifically THE LONG WAY! and its still cheap as they are true humanitarians, they are how all professional should be.

With the money you save you can have a longer than normal stay if you wished to depending if you would like to, its what I would do if my KC is progressing (and your;s may not be progressing like I was telling you)

Click Here Are The Contact Details

That link was made a year ago, the contact details was here a lot longer than that due to members who have been treated there.

Congratualations on the 20/20 that is amazing!! and that is what it is all about...Send our regards to Dr Norton and ask here to visit us.

You will be ok mate, they have patients coming to them from every corner of the world, because they are the one of the few safest pair of hands you could go to.

Every good wish

Hi Cbis,

From very current postings, in Dortmond it is 630 EURO per eye and cheaper if you do both eyes (about 970 euro for both). Going to Dresden the prices are a bit more cheaper per eye (I think I read a price in a posting somewhere)... but not sure for both eyes if there is a discount. Also I am not sure of the US price (it is done diferently there and is newer) but I think its much more expensive than in Germany.

Best wishes

Hey, another Canadian who's found out about X-linking!

I'm interested in what sort of support you've received from the Canadian medical system (it no longer gets good reviews from me).

As for the Germany/US decision, I believe that they're still doing the procedure differently south of the border (except for a recent set of trials, maybe?).  You'll want to look into that as well.

For what it's worth, we went to Dortmund and I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Kohlhaas.

If you're thinking about the European treatment, you might also want to look into who uses what equipment, as there is now a CE-approved machine and it does sound like it's an improvement.

If I can help with anything, please let me know.
