I'm having some new problems with my eyes and I desperately want to find someone who is truly a specialist in Keratoconus, instead of a general cornea guy like I've seen in the past.  Does anyone out there have a name or names for me to contact?

Thanks
jpl

Jpl,

A dr joined up as a member sometime ago from long island, i don't know if its easy to get to from where you are... as i'm in London... however another member called "can see" really liked him.

Here's the link http://www.drscheno.com

Good to hear from you... and remember there are Scleral lenses which don't touch the cornea, they are used a lot in the uk, even for low grade KC... as there are benefits to be had with them.

Best of luck to you... let us know how you get on...

Thanks for the quick response! - I will keep him in mind.  Since my immediate problem is pressing (either a scratched cornea or some form of keratitis) I made an appointment with Dr. William Constad for tomorrow.  I remember his name from another board - kcenter I think - and he is frequently listed as one of the top opthamalogists in our area.  He's also located in the general vicinity of my work here in  New Jersey and takes my insurance.

I'd still like to hear of other Doctors that people have had a positive experience with in the area.

Thanks again,

jpl
