Here I share my experience and in some cases - my personal opinion.
I divide the post-crosslinking in several stages.
1. Right after the procedure
2. First days after the procedure
3. Closing of epithelium
4. Restoration of natural tear flow
5. Back to normal.

I see the forum isn't terribly active--and the category I wish to post in hasn't had activity for two years, but maybe someone on the board will see this (at least, that is my hope). Anyway, I would like to first summarize how my experience with Keratoconus started (before I even realized I had it), and...
Hi I am quite new here and only did a cursory look through previous threads so excuse me if this is something that has been gone through many times before. I have had my left and right cross linked 18 and 9 months ago respectively. My right was better before than the left and now worse, with much more prono...
Hello, I'm Ahmed, 29 from Egypt. I was diagnosed with keratoconus in March 2015 in both eyes (Right eye grade 2 - left eye grade 1). Background: I don't like to wear glasses so in the age of 23 I was supposed to wear one so I put it for like one month and then kept it in the home. But my vision started to go down w...
Thought I would share my experiences post epi off crosslinking on left eye. Basically there is a risk your doctors don!t tell you about. The debridement of the cornea that take place for crosslinking can and in my case did cause permanent nerve damage. for seven months now I have had pain in my eye, fee...
I've just come through my third cross linking operation and have decided to bring together pool of advice (retrospectively) to help preparations for people who have yet to undergo the procedure (also I'm sure it'll be useful again if, heaven forbid, I need a 4th operation!) If crosslinking is a pos...

Preop to 20month past CXL, values look nice, however still too irregular cornea to get something useful without RGP. I hope to buy a flatter RGP and by that improve BCVA. Do the orbscan pictures look as good as the figures? I find it a bit hard to get all useful information out of them.
hi everyone, I had C3R treatment done for both the eyes in July 2008. I experienced haze (had do use sunglasses for 3 months) after C3R and doctor advised me some drops for 6 months and vision cleared gradually. but still I feel my vision was better before. now what i see is more of shadows / double triple...

Hi,I am going to have cross-linking done , and am a bit confused. I am 45 and over the past year my KC has not got any worse-so firstly I really dont know the reason my doctor wants to do it, as I thought it was done to stop progression, and really thought I would be too old, especially if it looks as though it ma...

Hi All, I've been off this site for a year now, because KC was out of our life (I thought). My 14 yr. old son, Zack had C3-R in Munich last year at this time. Next week is his anniversary actually. He has had a full year of no progressive degeneration. (his procedure was epi-off). Our MD in Chicago thinks th...
Dear Friends, After many many months of research, I have decided to go for it. I have found this site and people on it, extremly helpfull. However, my dilema was that I had PTK ( augmented PRK surgery) 11 months ago and I was asked by two surgeons to NOT remove my EPI for at least 1 or 2 years. This was a...

Hi everyone! My name is Cecilia, Im from Argentina. I was diagnosed with mild Keratoconus in March this year. After consulting with several ophtalmologists, I decided the best option for me was c3r, since although the KC wasn't severe, it was evolving quite fast. I had the procedure done in both eyes...

Hello everyone! My name is Julia. I have post-lasik extasia on both eyes. Diagnosed three months ago, all this time I've been considering crosslinking and going through regular check-ups to look for progression. Hello, so it's been 15 months since my right cornea crossliniking and about 7 months since the left. The right is stable overall and shows a visual acuity in the range 20%-40% (with 10%-20% before cross-linking). Helas, I do not have Orbscan done before the cross-linking of the right. The left shows s...

Hi there Sorry for not being so much online, but here I am again with a few finale words. I would like to describe my after-x-linking experience to all of you. Hi Guys!
I am writing this in order to not get too relaxed, asleep, calm, etc.
I went to my old ophtalmologist today, the one I saw in June 2005 a month before I decided to x_link. I told him I did it, he was probably impressed. He measured all things he used to measure for a KC. He could not print my scans f...
Here comes the results. Note the three scans, one just before the procedure, one a month after the procedure and the last are 5 monts and two weeks after the procedure. The vision improvement I've been reporting lately is evident from the K-reading. Also note the corneal thickness value, handwritte...
