I was too nervous and tensed to undergo the surgery. Now I realized that my vision had deteriorated over the year. So, now I have decided to go ahead with surg...

I'm getting the crosslinking done and I have a couple questions. 1. My Dr. wants to do one eye at a time incase of infection. What are the chances of an eye becoming infected from this procedure? 2. Hi everyone, I am new here and have had Keratoconus for roughly 15 years. Both of my eyes became contact lens intolerant in late July. It was time for me to take a big step, as the idea of corneal transplant had been thrown around for about 10 years, but never sat right with me. I had Intacs, CK, and C3-R do...
Development of irregular astigmatism and recurrence of keratoconous may occur long after corneal transplant. Does anyone has an idea about CXL and PRK for removal of irregular astigmatism on corneal grafts. Thanks Ali
Hi irregular astigmatism may develope in corneal grafts long after PK. I have heard that planting intrastromal corneal rings(Intacs) in such cases is now a method to remodel and regularize grafted corneas. Does anyone has also heard about that or has an experience? My best regards Ali
When I hear of KC sufferers that have gone onto have Corneal graft for the most part I assume that their respective doctors have exhausted all other options. From what I have seen on the internet and read on the KC forums the assumption is that PK is offered only as a last ditch treatment.
But in this ext...
